Armor Mesh
Hight Impact Fiberglass
Description
Armor mesh = 20.5 oz. Per yard.
Reinforcing mesh used to provide a high level of impact resistance for EIFS systems, also to bind insulation in conjunction with base coat.
Color
Light beige / yellow
Container
39-inch by 75 foot long rolls
243 Square feet per roll
Use
To bind together, reinforce and provide maximum impact resistance on all insulation systems. It is imbedded into wet base coat adhesive, then covered with an additional layer of standard mesh and base coat.
Coverage
Approximately 243 square feet per roll.
Storage
Keep mesh from prolonged exposure to weather. Do not allow petroleum products to come into contact with the mesh.
Weight
Approximately 34 pounds per roll.
Application
Apply a layer of base coat adhesive to the substrate. Then imbed the mesh into the wet base coat layer by pushing it in with a trowel, from the center out to the edges, starting at the bottom of the building. The mesh should be fully imbedded into the base coat such that the edges of the armor mesh are butted tight to each other (not overlapping). Then a layer of standard mesh should be installed over the top of the dried armor mesh coat, overlapping all seams. The base coat layer should be thick enough such that no mesh pattern or color is visible.
