For Architects & Specifiers
Elastomeric Stucco Systems Engineered for Architects
Stuc-O-Flex delivers high-performance elastomeric wall systems with verified performance data, complete specification resources, and a 40-year history of protecting landmark buildings. Our systems are engineered to provide superior crack resistance and advanced moisture management, ensuring your design integrity endures.
Engineered Flexibility
Long-Term Wall Performance Through Engineered Flexibility
Buildings are not static. They move, settling under load, flexing with the wind, and responding to thermal expansion and contraction. Traditional, rigid cement stucco resists this natural movement, inevitably leading to cracks that compromise the building envelope and your design. This failure is not a defect; it is a limitation of the material itself.
Stuc-O-Flex was engineered to solve this fundamental problem. Our elastomeric acrylic finish is not a simple coating but the key component of a complete wall system designed for dynamic performance. With an ASTM-tested elongation of 105%, our finish flexes with the structure, maintaining a continuous, crack-free surface that protects the building from water intrusion and preserves its aesthetic for decades.
In coastal and high-moisture environments, Stuc-O-Flex systems also provide enhanced resistance to salt spray exposure and weathering, helping preserve finish integrity and appearance over time. Our use of calcium carbonate fillers, rather than silica-based aggregate commonly found in competing systems, contributes to a smoother, more stable finish profile without the long-term concerns associated with harsher aggregate systems.

System Engineering
Complete System Engineering, Not Just a Finish Coat
A wall’s performance is defined by its entire assembly, not just the outermost layer. We engineer integrated wall solutions that manage the forces of nature from the substrate out. Each component, from the base coat and reinforcing mesh to the finish and drainage mat, works in concert to deliver structural resilience and superior moisture control.
This system-based approach includes the pioneering WaterWay Rainscreen Mat, which creates a dedicated, continuous drainage and ventilation cavity behind the cladding. This vital space allows incidental moisture to drain harmlessly away and promotes drying within the wall cavity, preventing the moisture-related failures common in other systems. WaterWay exceeds ICC/IRC AC-38 acceptance criteria, drains 50 times faster than standard weather-resistive barriers, and maintains a 90% open drainage cavity.
